At Enviro-Tote the environment is an important component in the every day operation of this woman owned business! President and Co-Owner Nancy Sampo is proud of Enviro-Tote’s certification by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. Their membership in this prestigious organization will undoubtedly serve to link Enviro-Tote with new opportunities and spread the word about their eco-friendly approach to business.
Aside from being a company with conscience, Enviro-Tote is a company with talent, perseverance and values. The latter is evidenced by the employees and the work they do at Enviro-Tote. The business employed twelve people in 1990 and has grown to now include over 40; many having been with the company from the beginning. Their approval by the Fair Labor Association is further proof that honoring others and the work they do comes back in many ways. The Enviro-Tote philosophy of living and working together in harmony is evidenced by the detail and quality of every tote bag they make.
Early in its existence, Enviro-Tote purchased stitching equipment from garment giant Pandora and began operating out of Manchester, New Hampshire’s historic Amoskeag Millyard. Pandora had employed generations of stitchers and Enviro-Tote was in perfect position to hire many of the talented stitchers at a critical time in its growth process. In keeping with its desire to run the most eco-friendly company possible, Enviro-Tote eliminates fabric waste through efficient cutting and stitching methods and employs precise printing methods. Office paper is re-used and recycled along with cardboard, cans & bottles. As they grow the company pledges to continually investigate new and efficient methods of production and operation without sacrificing the quality of their USA made custom tote bags!
