John Chae is both the CEO of Hosung, the company behind MiYim™, and the creative inspiration for many of its popular toy products over the past 30 years plus. In 2002 while his wife, Doreen, fought to regain her health following a cancer diagnosis and susequent treatment, the whole Chae family was inspired to change to a healthier lifestyle.
As the family integrated new ways of thinking about what they ate, they began to pay attention to the lifestyle products they bought and learned how laden with chemicals everything was from cotton to furniture. The next logical step, of course, was for John to take this new knowledge and design a line of toys that are the healthiest and safest toys available.
