Think again before dumping that old bicycle at the landfill! In 1991 Resource Revival founder, Graham Bergh, was bicycling to his recycling job when he found himself with a flat tire. Replacing his old inner tube got him to thinking about what resourceful thing he might do with it. That old inner tube became a cradle for his stereo speakers! Over the next three years Graham played around with the idea of reusing bicycle parts and came up with some interesting and creative products. And Resource Revival was born!

Today the artists and craftsmen at Resource Revival continue to develop unique ways to recycle discarded bicycle parts by welding and grinding them into innovative merchandise.  Since 1994 they have collected tons of recycled parts from participating bike shops in the United States to be meticulously cleaned, sorted and stored at their design and production workshop in rural Oregon. 

Once cleaned and sorted the artists begin the process of creating handmade products by turning old into new.  Recycled bike chains become bottle openers and sprockets turn into clocks!  All this work and fun takes place in a pre-existing outbuilding that was upgraded with reclaimed lumber, sheet metal, insulation and energy efficient lighting.

The mission at Resource Revival to provide meaningful jobs creating products from recycled materials while earning a living wage (and having fun) is accomplished! The vision is to start the wheels turning toward a sustainable future where commerce thrives in a world powered by renewable energy; where people become conscious of the energy they consume and the origin of the products they purchase.
